It’s August, which means its Raspberry season! And to celebrate this raspberry fest, we’re here to share a quick healthy recipe that you can make and enjoy at home.
Raspberries have many health benefits. Packed with vitamin C, powerful antioxidants, manganese and fiber, they will help improve your heart health, blood sugar control, skin and digestive support. Try adding this creamy bowl to your meal plan to help reach your well being goals.
Ingredients:
50 grams of Greek yogurt (can be 0% fat, full fat or a dairy free alternative)
Add 150 gramsĀ Frozen Raspberries
1 to 2 table spoons of milk (can be any alternative)
2 to 3 Tablespoons of honey (or maple syrup or a sugar free syrup)
A hint of vanilla extract
Equipment
Blender
Bowl
Spoon
Instructions:
- Add your frozen raspberries, Greek yogurt, honey (or your alternative) and vanilla extract into your blender.
- Blend on a low speed to break down the frozen raspberries. Once the raspberries have broken down, you can increase the setting and blend until the mixture is smooth. Scrap the sides of the blender if needed.
- Add your creamy mixture into your desired bowl, and enjoy!
Extra toppings (optional): If you want to make your smoothie bowl extra filling, try topping it with extra raspberries, or a berry of your choice, drizzle some honey for extra sweetness or add some chia seeds.
Pro tip: You can put the mixture into a container and leave in your freezer for an hour and enjoy as an ice cream.
